Ooh, children, WG has a new bloodsucker crush!
True Blood is produced by Alan Ball, the creator of Six Feet Under, and his latest project displays the same edgy writing and queer sensibility that I enjoyed watching the trials and tribulations of the Fisher family.
The nominal star of the series is Anna Paquin, who plays the telepathic waitress/heroine Sookie Stackhouse.
Naturally, I'm far more interested in Bill (Stephen Moyer), the vampire who becomes Sookie's undead beau.
There are a couple other toothy morsels in the show, including Sam Tramell, and Ryan Kwantan.
Generally, shows that I find intelligent and interesting don't fare well, but I'm hoping that True Blood will be around for a while.
